On offer a hardback “Nottingham Forest The Official History” by Philip Soar
On 12 February 1977 Nottingham Forest lost 1 – 2 at home to Luton Town. That night Forest were 8th in the old Second Division. Two years and 107 days later John McGovern carried the European Cup around Munich’s Olympic Stadium. It was a rise unprecedented in world football history and one that has not been matched since and probably now never will be. This story then must ultimately be about Brian Clough. His time at Forest lasted from 1975 to 1993, and it was at his going that the measure of the man was best recorded. Said James Dalrymple at the last home game on 1 May 1993: “The 26,000 crowd, many of them hysterical and close to tears, bayed for a final performance from the man who had entertained them for 18 years and had led them into a great sporting era that had bought international glory and fame to their pleasant backwater town.”
The book is in a good condition, has been read, the dustcover is in a good condition and has not been price clipped £19.99
